Pedagogical policy

All day care centers work on the basis of our educational work plan. This work plan describes how we implement the Small Society educational policy in daily practice. The branch manager makes sure that this also happens in practice.

By recording what we do, how we do it and why we do it in that way, we want to ensure unity in the way we work. At the same time, we make all parties involved, such as parents, the GGD and the fire brigade, accountable. The plan is available for inspection at all locations. It goes without saying that Small Society adheres to the guidelines of the GGD and fire brigade when it comes to safety, health, hygiene etc. We gauge the situation through the Risk Inventory (RI), on which we are assessed annually.

 

By keeping an eye on the educational policy (as well as its impact on daily practice), and adjusting it where necessary, we are able to keep it up to date. All employees are asked to submit an active contribution to this. We want to challenge you to ask why you think what you think and why you do what you do and whether things could be different. In this way, we work together to continually adapt more effectively to the needs of the child and the opportunities we are able to offer as Small Society.

Small Society has been inspired by various educators and educational trends. These include elements of Gordon, Freinet and Reggio Emilia.

The various branches of Small Society are small-scale, homely and warm. Every child and parent is felt welcome and seen. Everything we do revolves around the child. His / her interests and needs are central. We love the child unconditionally and accept it as it is. A flexible approach is part of this, because every child is different.
